From spring to summer, white to pink 2,5 cm flowers are produced,
followed by the fruits turning bright red and similar in
appearance to plum tomatoes to around 5 – 8 cm in length.
A native to Peru, the Tamarillo is a small or shrub with robust, yet sparse branches growing to around 2 to 3 meters in height, with soft, almost velvety ovoid mid green leaves to around 30 cm.
Minimum temperature should be around 5°C
